April Chiu, OD, FAAO
Dr. April Chiu enjoys getting to know her patients and is dedicated to providing them with the utmost quality eye care. She has a versatile clinical background having completed a residency as well as externships at an ophthalmology clinic and a dry eye specialty office. In addition to being in private practice, Dr. Chiu has taught optometry students as a clinic attending at Pacific University College of Optometry. She has also dedicated many summers to volunteering overseas, providing eye exams to communities in Central America and Jamaica.
Dr. Chiu received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Arizona State University. After graduating from Southern College of Optometry with a Doctorate in Optometry, she pursued a residency in Primary Eye Care at the Memphis VA. Dr. Chiu later received her fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry.
Being an Arizona native, Dr. Chiu loves the beautiful landscape and cooler weather that the Pacific Northwest offers. She and her husband are avid hikers and when not exploring the outdoors, Dr. Chiu spends her time with their 2 cats and tending to her plants.
